Enjoying and achieving through learning

  • Children are encouraged to attend and enjoy their nursery experience through the offering of stimulating activities and experiences in an environment which is child led.

  • Staff meet out of nursery hours to discuss all children’s developing needs and interests, observations and the planning of activities.
  • Children are encouraged to develop healthy independence through all activities and routines during the day.

  • All children are confident and secure enough to welcome new ideas and activities and to have a go at something new.

Achieving economic well being

  • Role playing with money at nursery market stalls and grocery stores
  • Visiting and listening to people who work in our community such as fire officers, chefs etc
  • Visiting real life places where goods are bought and sold (vegetable markets, fish market etc)
  • Investigating where food comes from and cooking with fresh produce.

There are numerous opportunities daily, weekly, monthly, termly, annually, that arise in our setting, these are just a sample.

Please note we have a number of Nursery Policies with regards to how we operate and do things at Bright Beginnings. You are also most welcome to read them – please ask the Office staff.
